With the NZ Beauty Expo fast approaching we are excited to announce that Leanne Spring, owner and founder of Spring Spa Wear, will be traveling over from Australia to join us at our stand to share her passion and knowledge with the beauty industry.

Leanne started her career as a beauty therapist when she was 21 and opened her first home salon while studying. Three months after graduating she opened her first salon in Sydney and within 2 years it doubled in size, employing 16 staff. She opened her second salon in the city centre two years later, and after 10 years in business she sold up the two Sydney salons and headed for the sun on the Gold Coast in Queensland. She opened Spring Spa in Burleigh Heads and had a thriving business with 15 staff.

Over the years Leanne became frustrated with the lack of good quality stylish uniforms, everything on the market was bland with limited colour and sizes. Leanne grew up with a Grandmother who was a bridal dress maker so designing new uniforms for her staff came easy. It wasn’t long before her staff were approached by other therapist and salon owners when attending post graduate training at the Dermal Institute. Leanne started to get enquiries about making uniforms for other salons and before long Spring Spa Wear was up and running.

Leanne started the collection with three style tunics and long pants, she was determined to bring some colour to the industry along with chic designs that were functional stylish and comfortable. Spring Spa Wear now has over 20 designs and eight colours. After 11 years owning the salon Leanne made the heart breaking decision to focus on Spring Spa Wear.

“I am lucky to be in the day to day conversations with salon owners all over Australia, just where I love to be. As a therapist I am always looking to fill a void in our market, there have been many things I’ve wanted for my salon that were not available so I have extended the range and made bed linens. High quality that lasts, that’s what I wanted. I was tired of spending money on terry towelling bed covers that looked 2 years old after 3 washes. I made white microfiber sheets and we are still using them after 6 years, these are now in our range. Bed valances to cover everything you have under your treatment beds and dress up your treatment room were also on my list. After lots of trial runs we came up with a design to fit all beds.

Our bed linens and uniforms lift your salon image and project a professional look while also being functional and good value for money. Investing in your image doesn’t stop at the initial fit out of your business, the way your salon is presented along with your staff is crucial to your success. I feel very passionate about our business and look forward to meeting as many of you New Zealand beauties as possible when I attend the upcoming Beauty Expo.

Please come along and meet me and let me introduce you to our incredible range of uniforms and bed linens.” – Leanne Spring

We will be showcasing the Spring Spa Wear uniform and new bedding ranges at expo (stand 327) and we will have some great expo only deals available.
